Rose City Park UMC is...
A place to find what you're looking for.
A church means so many things to so many people. Here at Rose City Park UMC, you'll find people of all ages, backgrounds, and interests. But for all our diverse qualities, you'll discover that we share one important belief: that our lives have been touched and continue to be blessed by the unconditional grace, comfort, joy, and love offered by God to each of us.
Our mission statement reminds us that this common experience brings us together into a community of faith--to proclaim that Jesus Christ is Lord, to grow in our spiritual understanding, and to make visible God's love and justice within and beyond our church walls.
A church family for today.
Like so many of us, you may embrace certain traditions, even as you seek new paths that are relevant to your life today. As all-too human members of the family of God, we strive to make room in our busy world, finding that the more we bring our lives to God, the more God brings to our lives.
There's a place for you. Come join us.
Our church has many faces. Young and old. Families and singles. The faces of our ministry are equally varied. We celebrate. We nurture. We serve. We enjoy ourselves and each other.
At Rose City Park UMC, you're always welcome.
Our Services
Rose City Park United Methodist Church offers two separate worship services on Sunday morning. Each service is unique in its treatment of worship. Classes are held for children Sunday mornings and child care is always provided during worship. However, children are also encouraged to stay and be part of the worship experience. Sunday services
9:00 a.m. - Joy In The Morning
Lift your spirits every Sunday morning at 9am at this high-energy musical service led by Praise Band leader (and amazing pianist), Dan Pettis, plus guitarists, a brass ensemble, percussionist and 8 singers! Rev. Tom Tate shares thought-provoking messages each week.
11 a.m. - Traditional Worship
If you enjoy the more traditional aspects of worship, the 11 am service is just right for you. Choral music is provided by the Celebration Singers, led by Director of Music, Frank Holman. John Green, on the piano or organ accompanies hymns from the Methodist hymnal and enriches the service with beautiful organ pieces. Lay leaders help with reading of the Scripture and unison prayers. You'll leave refreshed by Rev. Tate's messages.
We invite you to participate whenever and however you wish; in addition to our worship programs, we offer a wide variety of opportunities for friendly fellowship.
