- Spring Talent Show! All are invited to join us for a Spring Talent show on Wednesday, March 26th, in Youngson Hall. Bring a picnic dinner at 6:30 pm and stay for the program which begins at 7:00 pm. Presented by the children and youth of Rose City Park UMC.
- Lunch and a movie on Sunday, April 20th, in the parlor at 12:20. This month's movie is entitled "Away from Her".
- Save your books for the church rummage sale Saturday, May 31st. Paperback fiction and cookbooks sells the best. Also, bring videos,
CD's, LP's and sheet music. Please do not bring Reader's Digest Condensed books, old computer manuals, or textbooks more that 10 years old.
- A benefit for Youth Ministries "Spring luncheon on Saturday, April 19th, at 11:00 am featuring Grant HS Royal Blues. Ticks: $10 and $5 for children.

- Join us today at 12:20 in the parlor for the potluck and movie. The movie showing today is Blood Diamond.
- "Growing From Grief"...there is help! Rose City Park United Methodist Church will be offering a class/support group, entitled, "Growing From Grief". The group is open to the public and will start Thursday night at 6:30 pm on April 3rd, with a dinner that will be provided. If you are not interested in the dinner, arrive at 7:00 pm. The main resource will be a book, "A Grace Disguised," by Jerry Sittser. Please call the church office at 503-281-1229 tomorrow if you are interested in attending and/or need us to order you a book.
- We will be hosting Daybreak families beginning today, March 16th through March 23rd. There will be chances to prepare and host dinner, drive the van, help with set-up and/or take down, along with the ever popular night in our bridal suite (also known as overnight hosting). As usual, the sign-up sheets will be available in the Narthex two weeks prior to our hosting week. Thank you again to all for your help. - "One Great Hour of Sharing" money at work! Funds from "One Great Hour of Sharing" our denominational disaster offering for UMCOR, United Methodist Committee On Relief, go to help the emergency relief needs of people in Kenya following the post-election violence that displaced up to a quarter of a million people. This annual offering will be taken today, Sunday, March 2nd.
- "Understanding Depression" Seminar is tomorrow Monday, March 3rd, from 7:30 - 8:00 pm in the chapel. Dick Lindstrom, licensed counselor, will present a seminar on depression as a follow-up to Pastor Tom's sermon on depression today. If you feel you might be depressed, know someone who is, or want to learn more please come! Mr. Lindstrom will also make available a one hour free consultation for those who desire. - It is time to order your Easter Lilies or Azaleas in memory or honor of a loved one. These flowers will be placed on the altar for the Easter service. The order deadline is today, March 2nd, so please act immediately and place your orders in the wicker basket in the Narthex. (Envelopes will be provided for your monies and order form.)
- Lenten Concert! The Bach Cantata Choir of Portland will present a concert for the Lenten season by Johann Sebastian Bach today, Sunday, March 2nd, at 2:00 pm at Rose City Park Presbyterian Church, 1907 NE 45th Ave. The concert, under the direction of conductor Ralph Nelson, will feature a performance of Bach's Cantata #56 "Ich will den Kreuzstab gerne tragen", Chorales from the "St. Matthew Passion" and the "Crucifixus" from the B Minor Mass.
- Bowling Night! Our next bowling night is Monday, March 10th, at Cascade Lanes, 2700 NE 82nd Ave., at 7:00 pm. The cost is $4.00 a line and 3.50 for shoes; seniors' cost is $3.50 a line and 3.00 for shoes. All ages invited. Please RSVP Frank Holman at 503-288-0353 by 3/2.
- "Deeper Connections: The Prayers of Jesus" discussion meets on Wednesdays at 10:30 am in room 202 for six weeks; ending March 12th.
- "History of the Devil; Hell: The Devil's Domain" class is on Sundays at 10:00 am in the parlor now through March 16th.
- Jim and Jean Strathdee, internationally honored concert artists, worship and song leaders from Carmichael, California, who have written over 400 songs, hymns and anthems, including "I am the Light of the World" and What Does the Lord Require?", will appear at the Courtyard Marriott, 9300 SE Sunnybrook Rd, today, Sunday, March 2, at 5:00 p.m. There is a suggested donation of $10 per person, $25 for families. No one is turned away for lack of funds. This event is sponsored by Christ the Reconciler/Micah's Village, a new church start in the Clackamas/Damascus/Happy Valley area of greater Portland. - Portland Vocal Consort, Ryan Heller, Conductor, presents Passion "...featuring St. John Passion, Heinrich Schutz. This is "an elegant blend, limpid tone, beautifully calibrated sound, shining harmony, sending soaring voices into the stratosphere.." The date is March 7th at 8:00 pm at St. Patrick's Catholic Church at 1623 NW 19th Ave., Portland. General Admission is $10 in advance

- Adult Ministries presents: Dinner at the Tate's. Join us for fun and fellowship Saturday, March 15,2008, from 5:00 - 7:00 located at 3311 NE 135th Ave. Tom & Corinne Tate are inviting those adults who are "sort of" 40ish and younger to a dinner at their home. The meat will be provided, you bring salads and desserts. Please RSVP by Wednesday, March 12th by calling 503-255-2572.
