Seated Yoga with Star Studonivic

Seated yoga is a method of creating mobility and flexibility for those who are limited in those areas. The entire class is conducted while you are seated, and believe it or not, you can receive a pretty thorough workout in a chair! The first fundamental of yoga is breath. It ‘s also the first fundamental of life. We spend the first part of the class deepening our breath and concentrating on expanding our air intake. we then move to a gentle core strengthening segment followed by neck, shoulder, torso, midline, thigh, lower leg and foot mobility sequence. We end with a brief meditation.
That’s it! It’s about 45 minutes of effort on your part, but the benefits are bountiful. My hope is that you leave class feeling better than you did before class. Anyone is welcome,no matter what your physical abilities are and no matter how old you are. After all, your teacher in Portland so you might feel more comfortable with that.
