Ash Wednesday Service

Rose City Presbyterian will be joining Rose City United Methodist Church for
their annual Ash Wednesday service. It will held at Rose City Park UMC,
5830 NE Alameda, just off Sandy Blvd, at 7:00 pm. Rev. David Dornac will be
preaching there will be both communion and the imposition of ashes. The
public is invited to share in this beginning of the Lenten Season leading to
Good Friday and Easter.

We will hear about how the understanding of "The Devil" came about in our sacred history and how some of the saints viewed this force. Some today feel they have encountered such a force.
You are invited to come and share in the discussion as we seek to understand humanity, evil and our fears.

Lenten Prayer Retreat

During this Lenten season you are invited to spend a day reflecting on God's invitation to return home to love. Plan now to attend a Lenten Day of Prayer on Saturday, February 16th, as you broaden your prayer life and deepen your relationship with God. The retreat is co-facilitated by Rev. Roberta Egli of Deep Well Ministry and Rev. Dr. Denise McGuiness of Living Tree Counseling Services.
The retreat will be held at First United Methodist Church, 401 E. 33rd St, Vancouver, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00
