Rose City Park United Methodist Church loves to sing!

We offer several very diverse and exciting styles of music, from historical and liturgical church music, to gospel music and more contemporary Christian hymns and songs. Our services have three unique schedules.

The first Sunday of each month is a traditional service with with music from our excellent choir and our magnificent pipe organ. The group is made up of singers from all age groups, who are dedicated to presenting inspiring music. They rehearse at 7:00-8:30 on Thursday evenings from September through May, in the Holman Music Room, named after the late Frank Holman, our director for over 40 years.

Second and third Sundays feature a blended service, beginning with praise music and our praise band, followed by traditional hymns, choir and organ,

The last Sunday of the month is praise-style worship, led by Dan Pettis, whose creative leadership of contemporary music is both innovative and exciting. Our praise band is made up
of piano, guitars, brass, percussion and vocals. They meet and rehearse in the sanctuary on alternate Tuesday evenings.

Our bell choir provides enchanting handbell music, led by Jennifer Holman. They offer their music periodically, as well as for special services and programs. Rehearsals are on Thursday
evenings from 6-6:45, in the sanctuary.

From time to time, we offer seasonal musical programs, as well as benefit concerts supporting various needs.
We invite you to experience and participate in our dynamic music program!
